Aesthera PPx Therapy
PPx therapy’s patented process combines the unique properties of therapeutic light with pressure (pneumatic energy) to bring you a breakthrough method for the treatment of unwanted hair, uneven pigment, and unwanted veins.
A “pulling up” motion gently lifts a small amount of the treatment area into a specially designed hygienic treatment tip. Targets (unwanted hair, unwanted pigments, and unsightly veins) are lifted and brought closer to the skin’s surface. When therapeutic light is applied, the light is converted to a gentle heat energy which is absorbed by the target (unwanted hair, unwanted pigments and unsightly veins). The energy applied is concentrated in the target to be destroyed, protecting the surrounding normal tissue. Skin is then instantly returned to its normal position and the treatment handpiece is moved onto the next treatment area. The process is repeated until the entire treatment area is covered.

Before the Treatment:
Before treatment begins, your physician will apply a soothing mist to your skin to hydrate it.
During Treatment:
Your treatment provider will place the Aesthera handpiece on the area to be treated. Based on your skin type (the amount of melanin in your skin) and the body part being treated, appropriate settings will be selected.
You will feel a gentle and warm sensation as your skin is drawn into the treatment tip. In less than a second, mild light energy will be applied and you will feel your skin being gently released back into normal position. Your treatment provider will then move on to the next treatment area, and repeat the process over the entire treatment area.
In a recent clinical study, 100% of patients reported no pain during treatment. Treatment sensation was most commonly described as being similar to that of a warm massage.

Post Treatment:
There are no post-treatment regimens associated with PPx therapy. So once your treatment is done, you are free to resume your normal activities.

Botox
Botox cosmetic is a simple, non–surgical treatment that can temporarily smooth moderate to severe frown lines between the brows in people from 18 to 65 years of age. It is the only treatment of this type approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
Juvederm
Juvederm replaces lost volume, corrects wrinkles, folds and replaces or enhances lip volume. It contains the highest concentration of hyaluronic acid in a special formulation to create a gel that flows easily into the skin, allowing a smooth natural look.
Aging Eyes

Eyelid Surgery

Depending on your features and the recommendation of Dr. Mardesich, you may have cosmetic eyelid enhancement on either the upper eyelids, lower eyelids or both. Through a strategically placed incision, the upper eyelid procedure involves the removal of excess skin and fatty tissue. Because the incision is placed in the natural contour of the upper eyelid, it is camouflaged upon healing. Lower eyelid procedures also involve the removal of excess skin and fat. The incision may be made just under the lower lash line or inside the lower lid; occasionally, the underlying muscle can be tightened. To further minimize wrinkles and pigmentation near the eyes, a procedure called Rhytec Portrait is often used. Portrait is a nitrogen plasma skin regeneration, which eliminates much surface wrinkling, discoloration, and also tightens skin. Through a personal consultation, Dr. Mardesich will decide the best approach for revitalizing your eyelids.
Mole Removal
Moles, or nevi, are frequently removed for a variety of reasons. They can be removed by two surgical methods:
- Excision (cutting) with stitches
- Excision with cauterization (a tool used to burn away the mole)
Through a personal consultation, Dr. Mardesich will choose excision with or without stitches depending on the depth of the mole and the type of cosmetic outcome desired.
ThermaCool CPT
The Thermage CPT system represents a new age of non-surgical skin tightening. Using Comfort Pulse Technology and a vibrating handpiece, patients feel more comfort, and zero time off of work.
